May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have inadvertently poisoned myself on Friday night with one of my allergens. I'm gonna guess it was soy. The label didn't have any allergen warnings and not any ingredients that would normally send alarm bells off in my head. This event may or may  not have lead to a series of failures over the next two days.

Poop may or may not have been smeared all over the guest bathroom bathmat and covered up with a hand towel. This may or may not have occurred on Friday or Saturday, I will never know, and not discovered until late Sunday night by my husband. The hand towel covered up the smell quite well. The bathmat and towel are now stuck together and stinking up my laundry room in the queue of six loads waiting for me to conquer today.

I may or may not have spent 10 hours in the bathtub reading over Saturday and Sunday trying to sweat out the poison. I got some serious alone time and read 600ish pages to finish the 14 book series I started last month. Apparently, my boys were more than willing to ignore me for the better part of two days.

I may or may not have cut off the lovely locks of my littlest little and it may or may not be killing my heart. His hair was getting past his shoulders and he doesn't like to wear man buns or pony tails. His hair, like mine, likes to form into a dread lock in the very back of his head. He doesn't like to have the tangles combed either. So I cut it to the bottom of his ears. He looks so different and younger to me. And it may be treading too close to a girlie bob. But the husband loves it and so does the boy.

I may or may not have actually saved his locks in a ziplock bag. I am not the queen of sentimentality. So I may or may not feel slightly like a freak for keeping his beautiful hair. But for now I'm keeping it.

A neighbor posted this picture of the freezing fog along the creek in our neighborhood. It has been like this for two weeks and we haven't seen the sun or over 20* either in that time. At least there is the beauty of the freezing fog!
