May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have purchased four pillows for my couch last winter from Pottery Barn with coupons and a sale and thought they would be safe from the little monkeys in the house. Turns out they have steering wheels on them that just scream "drive me" to my littles. One button is completely gone -- have no idea where they put it. And two others are hanging on by a thread, literally.

I may or may not have allowed my oldest little to stay home from school for three days because he had a minor cold and was convinced it would spread to his friends and then he would be sad. We've had a fun three days being together at home.

I may or may not have finally! gotten around to painting my hallway after buying the paint a good two weeks ago.  We may or may not have forgotten about peeling the tape before the paint is entirely dry and gone out to do errands. My husband may or may not have been peeling tape for the last hour with a screw driver. Major touch ups may be needed. But just to give me some leeway, I need to have windows and doors open to paint and it took this long to get over 20 and the air quality to clean up.  Apparently, 37* with a breeze is acceptable painting weather.

I may or may not have tried a pesto face mask that was recommended on an episode of Steven and Chris. I may or may not have enjoyed the mixture on my face or smelling like a restaurant until I showered the next morning. I did not nor do I recommend putting pesto on your face. You can achieve the same results with a yogurt base face mask.

I may or may not have left the beds unmade for the last five days. I'm usually 7 for 7 for the week, but this week I've let it the beds go and I'm not quite sure why. Thought upon further examination of my week, it may have something to do with the next two.

I may or may not have become obsessed with acquiring books on audio for my littles.  Meaning: I spend hours searching pinterest and blogs for recommended kids books and then search our library online database to see if they are available on audio. Order the books, listen to see if they are any good, return to the library and then the process start again.

I  may or may not have tried to transfer all my pictures from my Mac to the cloud. There are 20,000 pictures from the last 9 years. I may have quit after two days of 9 hours each devoted to transfer and only having 4,000 successfully moved. Time to buy an external hard drive. 20,000 left after cleaning up the throw outs.

I may or  may not have been using a vacuum that is fancy but not doing a good job. I may not have known this until today when we did an experiment with our cheaper vacuum. We vacuumed our downstairs and barely anything came up so it didn't seem like it was dirty. Went over it with the cheaper vacuum and holy cow there was a ton of dust and dirt that came up! I may be feeling defeated in my house cleaning due to a not working so well vacuum. Though if I dig deep I can find gratefulness for the spare vacuum that is working.

I may or  may not have kept my kid home from school yet again because I called it a snow day & he's still refusing to go because he's sick.
