May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have been out for a family walk when we were informed that a four year old was missing in our neighborhood. I may or may not have gotten tears in my eyes and said we have to go search the creek. I may or may not have left my husband with the double stroller on the path, climbed a fence and begun trekking through the tall grass and banks on both sides of the windy creek for an hour. Once I received word that the child had been found safe, I was also offered a ride on the back of a scooter. Instead of continuing  my run back, I acquiesced and arrived to my family waiting at the start of the trail in about a minute. The very first words out of my oldest little's mouth were, "Mommie! You are being very unsafe!" I had no helmet.

My husband may or may not be impressed with my backwoods skills and has now dubbed me an official member of the unofficial neighborhood search and rescue. I certainly have my dad to thank for my survival and backpacking skills. And my husband keeps laughing to himself about my official membership of my unofficial organization.

My washer may or may not have decided to start leaking from underneath on Friday. After two loads of the leaking on the floor, I decided I wasn't going to do laundry until the washer was fixed or we purchased a new washer. I normally do 2 or 3 loads a day -- a lot of soccer gear gets used here. We did research on our model and what that kind of leaking meant and saw the price tag of the part and decided to bite the bullet and get a new washer. The new washer is being delivered Thursday so I decided to just put a bunch of towels on the floor for the small flood to catch up on laundry. No leaking occurred with the three loads done. So now we have a new washer on the way to replace a washer that mysteriously fixed its leaking problem.

I may or may not have a bunch of antidotes from this week that are quite cute, but can't tell them because they violate my rules for my May or May Not Monday. It pokes fun at members of my family besides myself. But boy were they cute stories involving A-10 jets interrupting soccer games and the tale of an upside down map with mixed up directions.
