May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have purchased four nail polishes this week that turned out to be a complete bust. I was excited about the colors and then when I saw the price tag of $2 my eyes got big and all thought as to why they would only be $2 went out the window. I came home and tried them out and found out that price matters. This may or may not seem like a silly lesson to learn at the prime age of 32 and really something you should learn in your teens. Here's the thing, I never painted my nails until my last year of college and then it was only OPI because that was the one brand and color I owned. I liked the brand so I continued to buy the brand for the next 11 years. So Caveat Emptor of cheap nail polish.
It may or may not have taken three hours on Saturday to trim this beast. This is the second hair cut of the year. The last in May. It may or may not have involved me and my husband taking turns standing on the highest rung of the ladder with an electric trimmer. OSHA would fine us, surely. Imagine this trellis with honeysuckle growing up the sides and wisteria growing up one side and on the top. Never ever plant two fast growing vines on one trellis. Never ever. We took a good five feet of the height on the top and the side was growing past the fence to the neighbors. Should have taken a before picture but it didn't cross my mind.
Our trash can may or may not close because of it only being full of wisteria. Our trash comes on Friday. We filled it Saturday. They don't give you an extra yard waste can here either.
Still looks beastly, huh? Daily, I think to myself, what were they thinking planting those together?
I may or may not have gone school supply list shopping yesterday and the excess of the list may or may not cause me to have a break down every time. Not really a break down, but excess is not really how I roll and it goes against every fiber of my being to buy that much product that will go unused. I find it an irritation. I am mentally counting down the days until school begins and it is not with joy. I love love love summer and don't feel that it should be over yet. Only 19 days of freedom left. That's definitely not enough.
The sprinkler saga continues. It may or may not be my little's fault. Not this time. One in the back yard broke in the position of shooting onto the neighbor's roof. That zone runs for 30 minutes; it takes a lot to keep grass green out here in high desert. I don't think this happened for too many days, but seriously, it wasn't even hitting our yard. And their roof doesn't look worse for wear.
I may or may not be watching 7th Heaven on Hulu. It definitely is fun to see all the things from high school clothing style wise and the technology. No call waiting or cell phones for their family. But now that I know more rules of the world, almost every episode's major saga is written without regard for those rules. I guess if they had to follow the rules, it wouldn't be such a heart wrenching drama or fun to write. The show has 11 seasons and at this point I can't see how people stuck with it that long. Nor do I know how long I will stick with it.
