Eggsperiment

My oldest little is very into science. I've been looking for science experiments that were not messy, hard or expensive. I came across this on pinterest. AND it wasn't a pinterest fail! I actually googled it to see if it existed outside of pinterest and had merit. 

Drop an egg in a container full of vinegar so that the egg is covered. Leave it in there for 12-24 hours and the shell will dissolve. Shine a flashlight on it in a dark room and see the results of the inside of the egg. I will say that after 24 hours our shell had not completely been taken off. I used a kids blunt plastic knife and scraped the rest off.
