May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have come down for my morning pick me up, allergy free mini chocolate chips and celtic sea salt. Instead of my normal shake or two, I opened the spoon side and 1/2 a cup of salt landed in my mouth. Salt really burns, if you didn't know. Really burns. And it was a costly mistake, that salt is worth its salt.
I may or may not have mistaken my husband's docking station at work for a credit card machine. As in never seen a docking station I'm that with it with technology.*
* My proofer/husband just informed me that I was not calling it the proper name either. This is the corrected version.
I may or may not have asked my little if he wanted to take horse back riding lessons after watching a show with it. His reply, " Nah, I'd rather ride a buffalo instead."
I may or may not have been slightly bummed that we didn't break a record but tied for length of heat wave after nine consecutive days of hitting 100+. We broke the record for amount of heat! But still our culture is very competitive about something that is completely uncontrollable, the weather. And if you've got to suffer through a heat wave like the one we've just had you want it to mean something, like winning.
A little forgetting shoes may or may not be the resounding theme of our family life. Piggy back rides have become a mode of transportation. Is it a cry for more attention or just a case of forgetfulness?
We may or may not have hiked to the almost top of a very steep hill to watch the fireworks. I kept mentioning that this would be even better if we had some John Philip Sousa blaring. Sprinklers went off just above us in the middle of the show! After the screaming crowd dispersed from the very top, we gained blanket neighbors playing a 4th of July music mix. An ear cringing version of God Bless America ended and the opening of a John Philip Sousa sounded. Finally! That's some 4th of July music. It was axed within seconds and back to ear cringing songs.
We may or may not have had two members of our family freezing at 90* during the show.My little and I were grateful for two other heaters to relieve the "cold". 90* was cold (she typed shaking her head in disbelief).
