May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have mentioned that our community rented goats to do fire prevention in our open space behind our house. They showed up last Sunday night. Monday I had my windows and doors open because there was a lovely breeze and not oh so hot temps. I may or may not have had a few panic squeezes when I thought I heard "MOM!!!" screamed from the backyard. A quick scan of the yard, showed the littles playing contentedly and then I realized it was the goats. I'm ashamed to say that it took more than twice for me to program myself to recognize that goat sound!
I may or may not have lost a precious vase (no not really precious, just had it for half my life) to that very lovely breeze I mentioned. Except that lovely breeze turned into 30+ mph winds that knocked over a large glass vase, that knocked over a full up of smoothie on its way to shattering on the floor. There were two very upset people in our household over the loss of the vase. I was not part of that party. C'est la vie. Those flowers will have to have a new vase to call home. And just like that our lovely breeze and not oh so hot temps were not so pleasant anymore.
My littlest may or may not have been bitten twice in the last two weeks by a wolf spider while playing in our play yard. The first time I thought such is nature. The second I thought I declare war!
I may or may not have been informed that I failed in my knowledge super powers because I could not identify on command where Aquarius is located in the sky to watch the meteor shower after moon set. I may or may not have been up for most of the night anyway and watched for meteors and then at dawn still saw the moon in the sky and thought well you're out of luck anyway. The sun is up and the moon is still up and beautifully big. I've yet to procure the knowledge of where Aquarius is in the sky since there is no chance of catching the shower anyway.
I may or may not have given my littles full use of their daddies' workshop wood, nails and within reason tools. They have a tendency to take the things they love to sleep with them in their beds. This week the littlest stole away nails and screws in his bed. Sadly for him, luckily for us, it was discovered at tuck in time and possible injury and hospital visit was avoided.
I may or may not have spent an hour over the kitchen sink cutting my own hair. Since the whole hair debacle with my attempt to cut my littlest's long locks, he needs to go to my hair stylist to keep himself presentable. Thus, he gets my hair cut money from the budget. I have one spot in the back where I cut just a little bit too much off. Thank goodness for curly hair and the mess of curls masking my mistake. It's been five days since the mistake and I can still feel the exact spot where air can get through to my neck. Keeping me humble in the off chance that I was feeling I was developing any skills in the hair stylist department.
My littles may or may not have started movement I like to call Shoeless Sunday. They also don't have the courtesy to inform us that they are participating until we arrive at church - 30 minutes from our house. This week our 7 just about 8 year old participated in the movement.
