May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have planned the itinerary for this weekend's festivities with Grand Dad visiting and taken them to a gold mining museum that said Open Sunday 11-4. I neglected to see on the sign that it read From Memorial Day - Summer. We peeked in a the windows and everything was covered up with sheets. So we walked around the building and trudged through snow that I only fell into up to my knee once, to see the wagons and tools etc kept outside. Best event planner ever.
I may or may not have had my blood draw struggle, followed by a burst cyst, and a grand finale of the flu this week. I hope it's a grand finale. I spent two entire days in bed. I upgraded to bed rest from couch rest. I win life.
Things I may or may not have heard my second day of bed rest from my husband: the kids said you saw the mess worse and they didn't have to clean it up because Momma didn't say anything. Is that true? Well, yes I did see the mess but only because there were tears that needed tending and I crawled back in bed. Is this really a question you need answered? Messes always need to be cleaned up.
2) you wanna go on a walk? Why yes that seems first on my list since I've been in bed for two days! I can totally handle that. Eventually I did get up and go on a two mile walk to make sure I didn't lose my heart energy and too much muscle atrophy. I barely made it up the hill home. I crawled right back into bed. It became the choice of worse evil: flu or my heart failing me from too much bed rest. Doesn't make too much sense to healthy folk? I know. But it's how POTS works.
I may or may not have a ton of garden pins showing up in my Pinterest feed. Last week I was thinking of just forgetting the fight of having a delightful garden yard in the desert fight because I always feel inadequate. There's so much death and babying along. And then the garden pins showed up and look like heaven! I'm already scheming new ideas. Like maybe going for annuals instead of perennials. Saturday I purchased three prim roses and three Rosemary for inside my house. Looks like I'm toast to giving up a chance for a bountiful yard garden.
I may or may not have a problem with hover boards at school. Hover boards stored in the classroom. Aren't they banned from airplanes and known to spontaneously combust? Yes, let's do the smart thing and store them around a whole slew of tiny kids. Genius.
I may or may not gotten locked out of my house while all the boys were at Scouts. I needed to get a vinegar jug out of the garage to continue doing laundry. I stepped out and the door lock broke in the lock position. It felt like someone was on the inside holding it shut. Thankfully, I wasn't stuck in the cold garage since we had a spare key. And after all that, I forgot to bring the vinegar with me and gave up until help returned. My husband had to dismantle the entire lock and put it back together, upside down. That's the only way it would work.
I may or may not have scrapped with my fingernail what I thought was debris off a knot in the hard wood floor. The entire thing disintegrated into slivers. My fingernail strength isn't that strong. The floors apparently are in need of some TLC. I am not very excited about giving it.
I may or may not be so excited about Target's Who What Wear line. Everything I tried fit me. This never happens for my hourglass figure. It's flattering and comfortable and doesn't hurt the bank! I may or may not have purchased a skirt and five tops. Mostly May. Now for warmer weather so I can comfortably sport the gear!
