May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have just pulled a weed in my flower bed only it wasn't a weed. It was a potato growing. A potato was in my flowerbed. A russet potato was in my flowerbed growing. Growing! We only buy Yukon gold potatoes and sweet potatoes. Buy not grow. There was a russet potato - bigger than my fist - growing bigger
in my backyard flowerbed. How!? Huh?????
I may or may not have had 45 acorn hats in my washer from one load. What was the little planning on doing with 45 acorn hats. And did that little intentionally stop at a round 45. 46 was too many? 44 was too few?
I may or may not have done a Librarian binge watch with my littles - even the two movies - one day. One little wasn't feeling well with a tummy ache and the other was bitten by a tick and my nerves were done with tick bite stress and Dallas shooting horror stress, so we decided the best thing to do was watch hours and hours of a tv show. Training them well with how to deal with emotions.
I may or may not have had just about enough that day when I spotted thousands of aphids on my prize Lenten Rose. Not kidding on prize, it's the biggest one I've ever seen and it's growing in my mountain desert yard. I called my husband repeatedly for an hour because the tummy ache had turned into a full on puking/explosive diarrhea bug and I was house bound. And just for kicks, I can't spray those suckers because while its flowering it will harm the pollination. He finally called back and I began my distress call about needing to stage a ladybug intervention. I already called the nursery and you need to get there before 6. He called from work at 5. He came through in the clutch with 300 ladybugs. We all released the hounds while I hummed Kill the Beast from Beauty and the Beast. We all need a soundtrack the go along with our lives. It was a less killing moment than I'd hope; but one of delight from the joy and squeals of having 300 ladybugs to play with.
I may or may not have checked on the killers today and found most of them had flown the coup. What was the thousand aphids not good enough for you? You're supposed to be saving my Lenten Rose from Black Death. Yup, that's the special kind of awesome these aphids bring.
I may or may not be in fleece pants and a t-shirt sitting on my patio as the sun sets and starting to freeze. It's 72 degrees. Must be summer!
