May or May Not Monday

May or may not Monday where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have bruised my head and had a severe headache for five days all for the sake of being a queen for Halloween. A knocked out for the count headache and indentations kind of injury. But at least I was pretty right? Yeah not right. Not even worth the pain. My little stretched out the metal crown so I can wear it without injury next year.

I may or may not have caught a chill and then a fever right after my head started feeling better. Still nursing that fever.

I may or may not be a proponent of getting rid of Standard Time. Let's stop the nonsense and just stay forward like the other 8 months of the year. From my viewpoint there is zero benefit to falling back. It's still dark in the mornings with the extra hour when you live far enough north. Let's keep the extra light at night for summer AND winter.

I may or may not have not been able to take advantage of the extra hour of sleep because one) kids don't know the difference & two) three people were up multiple times between the hours of 2-5 AM. Our day started at 8 non fall back time.

I may or may not have thought a pipe burst on the outside wall of our laundry room because under the vinyl siding was soaking wet. The water company came out and said it was probably the dryer vent mixing with the cold air and/or it was a really wet load and/or the dryer vent was clogged. Probably a combo of the three. While we bought a new dryer hose, we had yet to switch it out. My husband is doing that right now.

We may or may not have a recalled washing machine due to them exploding or the tops flying off. We may or may not be weighing the pros and cons of getting it fixed or taking the money and putting it towards a new model. I've yet to decide.

I may or may not have restarted watching Jericho this weekend. In light of election Tuesday, this was probably not the greatest decision. The possibility hits too close to home with the threats on our nation.

I may or may not want to know who the brilliant people are that decided to follow Halloween falling on a Monday with the end of Daylight Savings. It's way too much excitement and messing with kids' sleep in one week. Bravo powers at be for screwing with us big time. Hope it was worthwhile.

I may or may not have been ready to write the next installment of But A Mere Annal only to have my computer decide to not work. So we will have to wait for inspiration to strike again and have the luck of the computer gods on our side. Don't worry that's just a saying.

I may or may not have taken my littles to the power company's presentation for littles. They showed a movie that I swear I saw when I was in 5th grade. I suppose the safety rules haven't really changed. Though how many of us have radios to fall into our bathtubs these days?
