May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have been glued to the Ken Burns Vietnam series this week. Like schedule my night around it and force the littles to stay upstairs cause it's too much for their little eyes and hearts. What I am surprised about is that the college course I took was so thorough and spot on. Thank you Dr. Mathisen and Professor Scott. I have appreciated the Vietnamese perspective the series has brought to light. It's not something that we come across often.
I may or may not have stepped on the tiniest piece of glass and it produced an unproportionate amount of blood and pain. I was then informed that 12 hours beforehand a mason jar had broken way on the other side of the kitchen with the island between. New rule: everyone gets told when glass breaks and every ounce of the floors get vacuumed cause we are a no shoes household. My teeny little wound still hurts to walk on which is dumb when you think about the size of it.
I may or may not have passed on my genetic royalty to my little. I never developed wisdom teeth and x-rays today showed my little doesn't have them either. And possibly is missing a molar - that's taking it a little far on the not developing teeth genes dude.
We have now reached the season where a single cloud has ridiculous power over the comfort of the temperature. I may or may not have winter coats and shorts at all times in my trunk because the weather can feel like summer and winter in the same hour based on clouds, sun, and wind. Yesterday I took a walk in shorts and a winter coat. The coat kept coming on and off every other minute. Sun's out, feels like summer. Cloud comes: winter. Wind: winter. Just sun: summer. Repeat until you're driven crazy.
It may or may not have taken me two hours to get warm enough to sleep with two down comforters and a fleece blanket and practically laying on top of my husband who can sleep through anything. In the morning I noticed we have the space heater in our room three feet away from my bed and I could have had a much nicer sleep.
