Lately we've been able to try new foods thanks to PBS' Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. They sing a song, "You've got to try new food, cause it might taste good!"
This might be the start of a new chapter in our family. My cooking can consist of more than chicken nuggets, pb & j, mac n cheese and pancakes. So here's to more excitment in the food department.
Crescent Rolls with Melted Cinnamon "Butter"
Again this snack is in line with food needing to be easy peasy. With littles running around, it is better to keep it simple. So I put on my latex free gloves to guard against my contact allergy to gluten and get started.
Pre heat oven per instructions. Unwrap each triangle of dough. Place a spoonful of cinnamon butter on largest part of triangle. Roll up crescent and repeat for each crescent roll. Bake per instructions on can. And enjoy. I usually make a double batch to match the appetites of all my boys.
Warning: this is NOT a gluten free recipe. The Earth balance cinnamon butter is gluten free but the Immaculate Crescent Rolls most certainly contain gluten.
