May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have been doing a puzzle on the floor and my smoothie was placed down on the carpet next to me. On the very last puzzle piece I managed to knock over the 16 oz glass of smoothie onto the carpet with flourish. Three quarters of the glass made it to the floor. Immediately I took the straw and began to suck up the smoothie from the carpet. Seconds later I was joined by my husband and his straw who was much more efficient getting it off the carpet. I would say it was a successful smoothie removal attempt and saved our light carpet. But we both had headaches in the end.

I may or may not have missed the part in the email about back to school night for my youngest little until midnight the day before it was happening. It just so happens we have a conflict. We are definitely starting the year out on the right foot with this one.

I may or may not have picked out the book for our next book club meeting. I may or may not like the book. I was told that I would like it by the end. I'm 450 pages in. When is that liking it going to start?

I may or may not have been called for jury duty and been denied an exemption even with putting that I am homeschooling. They will gladly reimburse child care up to a max of $3.15 an hour but only if you are in serious need of monetary help. Thank you, but where can I put a seven year old in day care all day? I may or may not have spent the week seething with anger at the ridiculousness of this system.

I may or may not have a hard time liking jokes. Most of the time I don't see the humor. I like clever ones, ones that do not share unkindness. I came across this one two days ago and have been giggling inside since.
