May or May Not Monday

I may or may not have been ahead of the game and figured out what to do for class valentines. Only, I came up with a theme of Octonauts without researching and told my boy about it who lit up like a glow worm, to find they literally do not exist.

There may be some extreme crafting ahead for me if I can't turn this around to something store bought exciting. And I am not a big crafter.

I may or may not have been driving home on the main street of our neighborhood and spotted a rat nibbling away at something on the side of the road. It may or may not have taken me just a moment too long to figure out what it was and say "Ew" and realized my chance was gone. That's right, my chance to do the world a favor and run it over. No such luck because there was a car behind me and I only had a twenty minute window to get up the hill, fix lunch, have littles eat lunch, load back in the car and go down the hill to drop off for school. Had the time crunch not been there, I am certain I would have turned around and attempted rat slaughter. Lucky for the rat. Yes, somewhere in my soul there is a voice screaming that it's a created creature with a place in the ecosystem, but too many other mice and rats have terrorized me, so I'm out for all of them.

I may or may not have sent my little to school with a hat on because I did not have time to conquer the wild. The first thing the teacher aid did, take off the hat. I'm baffled at the rules because beanies are allowed and beanies with bills are allowed. It wasn't a baseball hat he wore. So now I'm just hoping I didn't ruin his day because of the hat.

I may or may not be sad that my little inherited my eyes and my fathers' eyes. Beautiful in color, yes they are. Strong they are not. We three bibliophiles do not have the eyes for it. Glasses at age 5 for my Pops and age 9 for me. Looks like age 7 for my little.  My suspicions: To be determined next week.

My littles may or may not be asking how long until Summer. A very, very long time my dears. After this cold end of Fall and beginning of winter, the littles are asking to move to warm and sunny Arizona. Without good snow, cold winter isn't much fun.

I may or may not have looked at the 2014 rain stats for Boise and not been shocked: just shy of 15 inches. We had the 11th wettest year on record. 11th since Boise weather started being recorded in 1877. The average rainfall is 12ish inches a year. What I think is ridiculous is the chicken little warnings of an extreme drought we heard for most of the year. What I do think is ridiculous is farming in an almost desert and charging next to nothing for all you can use canal irrigation for yards. If water is so precious, and it is, let us start treating it that way.

I may or may not have found a gluten, honey, coconut and soy free lipstick!! You know for $15 a stick plus tax and shipping. Also you have to purchase it based on what shade your computer screen shows. Sounds delightful, right? I realized that after not being able to wear lipstick for a year and putting the 12 shades away in the back of a drawer so I won't be tempted to close my throat for some color; that I am at the point of desperation that I'd be willing to go through this blind purchase. For I am a lipstick girl.

I may or may not have been overly excited about my blood pressure being in the low range of normal. Like celebratory excited and receiving odd looks from the nurse who kept emphasizing the low end of normal.  You see usually the nurses freak out about how low, low, low my blood pressure is - scary low due to my POTS. It means I'm finally getting a handle on my low blood volume and hydration. Or at least got it right that morning.

I may or may not have dropped my little off at school at the appointed time of 12:15 (he does half day homeschool/half day at school). I am glad that I decided to go home and do some chores that don't get done til then like, pick up the clothes scattered on the floor, open blinds and make beds instead of doing errands. While I was making beds and opening the blinds in the boy's room, I saw the jr. highers walking home. Slightly panicked because it was 12:55, I checked the school district website because you know at that moment I couldn't find the calendar in my school stuff and found out it was an early release day. Meaning pick up time is 1:15.  Sheesh.
