May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have yelled NOOOOOO, in my head, at the announcement of X-Files returning in January. I suffered the taunts and jokes long enough from that show from 7th grade on. And since I changed schools every year, it was always a new joke and never died down. This may make no sense to those of you who don't realize my maiden name is Scully. Not only that but the characters' name is Dana Katherine Scully. And now you get it since I am Katherine Scully. At least my surname changed for this round of the show.
I may or may not be having nightly nightmares about snakes in my house since that 5-6 ft bull snake showed up in our yard, a foot away from my five year old. Apparently I'm not so brave in my sleep.
I may or may not have forgotten one boy's cleats and the others' socks for soccer practice. The rule of always keep the cleats in the car was not followed. Thus, a little practiced in crocs and got cleated to tears. The other wore sweaty socks for his practice. Thankfully he didn't notice.
I may or may not have lived out of the rain forest and in the desert long enough now (just a few months shy of three years) that I am seeking out shade and not running toward the sun at every possible moment. My trauma of being sun deprived is healing. It also helps that we've had a terrifically early and warm Spring.
Such a nice Spring that I may or may not be having a difficult time putting the laundry away. It's all folded just sitting in piles. Eventually the heat will come and the laundry will find its home.
I may or may not have strained my pinky finger with something like trigger finger from cleaning too much with a spray bottle. This necessitated a 50 min across town trip to BB&B to get the cleaning cloths I like to use with dish soap so I can rest my injured finger. I also found a cast iron double griddle for our stove top. I tried it out when we got home and my stove top doesn't heat the whole thing to cook. So now to find time to make that trip again to return my excited whim. No more whimsical purchases from that store.
