May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have celebrated love day with bread heart cut outs trying to keep the littles from puking. None of us were very sad to not make a big deal out of the day. For the quick history of St. Valentine's Day go here: http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/st-valentine-beheaded .

I may or may not be alarmed at the general public inability to perform basic math problems. We've all had these math problems flying around our newsfeed and I always have to look at the comments. Now I'm no master mathematician, but there's a little thing called order of operations. It makes all the difference in getting the correct outcome. Order of operations. Don't forget.

I may or may not have dropped 15 library books on my bare feet while corralling them from the car to inside my house. You see I opened the door and it hit a massive laundry pile in my laundry room and bounced right back into the books in my arms; compelling them to fall right out of my arms and on top of my feet. I could have come out unscathed save for one two pound hardback book that got me with a corner. Hurt so bad. My little asked me in I was laughing and then realized I was crying, grimacing, and sucking in air. The next morning we thought my foot was fractured due to the pain and swelling and bruising. Turns out it was just deeply bruised. Well I hope that's all because it still hurts five days later but only when it's resting.

I may or may not have made British inspired scones on a whim. Prep took an hour. Cooking took an hour. My littles couldn't suffer them. My dear husband said they were delicious. Well I'm glad you think so because you'll be living off them for the near foreseeable future. Later I realized we could share with our gf friends down the hill, yet his scone mountain is still formidable.

I may or may not have decided to run an errand during the morning because homeschooling would have ruined our morning with a lack of motivation on ones end. We cut it very much too close for comfort at pick up time for my other little. Hitting every light on the long way home, I called in backup just in case we didn't make it. I arrived early. Early! Turns out my clock in the car is five minutes fast instead of the two I set it for. This explains my confusion as to why things are happening "late" at morning drop off. Things like the line up for the Pledge. I just thought we were getting lucky that they were running behind too. My car clock magically skips time.

My husband may or may not have found an unopened birthday card for my little in his tax pile. He brought it over and I was startled. The birthday was four months ago! Little opened the card and exclaimed, "Why is there no money in here!?" Right, cause cards are just placeholders for the cash.

I may or may not have found out my husband is working out of town starting tomorrow. I found out tonight. When he informed me that I should keep sitting on the couch because it was the only break I am getting for days. What!!!?! I'm leaving, you know this. No, dear husband I do not know this. I am just now being informed. Oh. Well my week just got a little sadder.
