May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have turned in the littles Cub Scout book with library books on Saturday. I don't have my voicemail set up because anyone who calls me should just be texting me, so I didn't know until I checked my email.
Fifteen minutes later we parked at Home Depot to get supplies for making our own telegraph machines. The 1973 encyclopedia T that we inherited from my Dad's parents, had a page dedicated to this great idea. We studied the telegraph this week so the logical course of action is to build not one but two right? Two kids = two telegraphs. After spending at least a half hour looking unsuccessfully for parts made out of aluminum and tin etc, we came back to our car. It may or may not have been wide open. Apparently a little left the door open for the other little to come out too. Other little did not use open door. I didn't see any of it and for the first time neglected to lock the doors. Had I locked the doors it would have alarmed us to our folly. Now to the important part: what was missing? Nothing except a Cub Scout badge that I'm not certain but just might show up somewhere else. I was so mad that I needed to walk across the parking lot to cool down. Yes I'm thankful for protection and thankful we live in the safest city in America.
We then went to Ace Hardware (that looked like a thrift shop!) and found aluminum nails and that's the extent of the supplies we were able to find! I may or may not think this is why we don't have inventors in the same way as the past. And it disappoints me.
I may or may not have answered an unknown number and was greeted with "Do you want a free Marriott hotel stay?" Sure I do! Then the man began speaking in a faster than Gilmore Girls manner and I'm not certain it was English though my husband says it was a very heavy accent. When my husband interrupted with the question "Will this cost us money?" They hung up on us! Scammers.
I may or may not have overpaid Walmart $7 on t shirts that were priced $1.50 but rang up for full price. Of course I didn't catch it at the time since I was still unloading the cart and didn't catch it until we were home. Then it's the gear yourself up for the fight to prove it to customer service. In the end, they gave no fight. And we walked away relieved and surprised.
I may or may not wonder with the new fb emojis if the new game will be how many hearts you can get and likes won't be enough for contentment. I don't get many likes anyway for me to test out this hypothesis.
I may or may not have allowed my little a three day vacation from school in the middle of the week. He had a tummy ache but mostly we just enjoyed our quiet days of rest. Though now I'm having a hard time convincing him he needs to go to school.
I may or may not have learned corn proteins can mimic gluten! Sneaky sneaky. Now I have my answer to why I am sensitive to it.
I may or may not have have had to pull 12 books off the library shelf that I turned in but the computer didn't check them back in. I'm always anxious that I won't be able to prove I turned them in. This time I found them all. And massive fines were adverted.
