May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have walked into my Grandma's home and thought ah smells like Grandma. Upon return and unpacking the things I brought and the extras I came back I thought ah Grandma smells like dust.  Her cleaning lady wasn't a duster. I thought it would motivate me to get on top of dusting, I'm not a duster either; but so far no motivation has hit me. Though daily I curse that I don't have a roomba to keep the dust and dirt off my floors. A girl can dream.

I may or may not have test driven a car this week only to help my husband confirm the issues with that year's transmission issues reported on Edmunds.com. You see our 24 year old car blew a head gasket putting us in the market for a new to us car. Though perhaps because we live in the middle of no where, the pickings are slim. I just kept hoping this would be the car that lasted forever and never ever needed to be replaced. It was my Grandma's car that had 14,000 miles on it after 7 years. Then my parents, my sisters and finally my parents sold it to us for a whole whopping dollar. Ever bought a car for a dollar!? We have!

I may or may not have spent my week decompressing watching Poldark. Thank you Aunt Colleen for the recommendation! My only complaint is having to wait until the Autumn for the next season.

I may or may not keep checking books out to read for myself at the library and not read them at all. This has been going on for a month and I'm wondering if the surgery changed my personality ;) I've even considered quitting my book club since I have zero desire to read. Shocking I know! My one and only solo outing each month I'm considering giving up. I'm hoping it's a this too shall pass moment.

I may or may not have been wearing something of my Gram's every day.  And that along with being able to attend the funeral has helped my loss be seen in a happy light.   I even donned a shirt with shoulder pads, I'm still deciding if I like having the power shoulders.

I may or may not be forcing my outside is my joy little to stay inside because of his allergies. I even kept him home from school on Friday because they were so severe. The school called me twice and my husband to make sure we picked up the Mothers Day gift from my little before school closed. Thank you for the consideration, but I don't celebrate Mothers Day and I'm not leaving the house nor is my husband leaving work to pick it up. Monday works just as well for me to receive the glorious project.

I may or may not have had to inform my little that I will not be buying you a pizza every time you finish a math book! Previously I rewarded him with one after asking him to finish out 100 pages in a week. He finished in a day and a half. I'm not asking him to get it done in a week this time. Though for pizza I'm sure we'd be hunkered down in the trenches with the 2nd semester common core math book to get it done in a week.
