May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have battled a wolf yesterday. Okay, a wolf spider that was the size of my palm or bigger. In the words of my husband, "It was scary!" My weapon of choice: rubbing alcohol. Then a massive rock the size of my foot. It was massive and really refused to die. So in the end, I became a monster and smashed it to smithereens while my husband cheered my on from a distance.
I may or may not have found my littles' lost pair of crocs that have been missing since the third week of August. On a bench in our neighborhood in front of a friends' house that we apparently were at last in the third week of August.
I may or may not have realized the littles outgrew their slippers. We go to Walmart for slippers. It goes like this: one kid I love the soft furriness. Other kid I hate how this feels my feet are hot. Yeah that's pretty much the point of slippers. One kid left with slippers that day. I'll leave you to guess which one.
I may or may not have this great need to have clothes through size 10 for my littles. They are in size 6-8. And barely an 8. I've been hitting massive consignment sales this month scoring lovely clothes for deals. Two companies do weekend long consignment pop up sales in the Spring and Fall. It's fabulous and I'm storing boys clothes in all the crevices in my closets and drawers now. I'm taking the Boy Scouts motto: always be prepared when it comes to clothes.
I may or may not have a toliet that had extremely low water pressure and lead me to believe that it was clogged. Clogged while my husband was out of town. That's always when things break, of course. It's a law of the universe. As soon as the massive storm passed, the water pressure came back. Anyone experienced this? Online says it's happened to others.
We may or may not be in the middle of a blackout. Right this very moment. There are two guys from the painting company outside pressure washing our house at 7pm. They had to postpone because of weather and now have zero power to finish the job tonight. Our check we mailed on Saturday morning to the painting company sat in the out going mail box in our mailroom and didn't get out until this afternoon. Small town problems. We have lived here for four years and this is our fifth blackout. Two of them were planned.
I may or may not have spent my morning reading aloud The BFG. 140 pages to finish it in time for our movie date of The BFG tomorrow morning.
I may or may not have decided to clean out and up the craft supplies. I realized I hadn't done it in a year since the art birthday party. It took me four hours. It didn't last 12 hours. Oooo look it's clean let's use it all! And destroy the clean. And thus it made me ragey.
Another great hit! And all from a blackout! I learned things, I laughed, I pondered, I felt it. Thanks again for another heartfelt May or May Not Monday!
