May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have dropped $50 in three weeks on cuties and halos. My little goes through them almost in a day. He can't get enough of them and well, the rest of us can't either. My budget was spent on teeny oranges this month. May it ward off sickness.

I may or may not have skipped out on this last week because our Christmas with family wasn't so loving. My littles had their hearts broken.

I may or may not have been excited to see deer prints in our front yard (snow) until I saw the state of my roses, stripped bare. They leave us alone until the snows come. Food is scarce this winter.

I may or may not think this is the best winter ever. By my count, we've had 19 inches of snow in three weeks. 19 inches of snow that hasn't melted. Normally, we have melt off in between storms. We're due for another half foot in the next two days. It's a banner year for snow. All this snow has turned our wilderness home into an actual Wild Wild West. Food is scarce and it's making the animals braver than other times of year, driven by hunger. Owl's are attacking small dogs in their yards; coyotes are stalking owners and dogs on their walks. It's easier to forget the Wild when you can't see their footsteps in the snow.

I may or may not have realized that car washes close when the temperature is below freezing. Seeing that our temperatures haven't reached above freezing or close to freezing much in a month, makes me wonder why a car wash just had their grand opening in November. It also seems that I will be driving an incredibly dirty car for the foreseeable future.

My husband found a brand new but returned food disposal for $45 on Amazon. I agreed that it was a reasonable amount to spend and we were sick of our sink clogging when the dishwasher drains. I may or may not have been informed that my little was installing it and my husband was merely the helper while they put it under the sink. For the most part, this was how it went down. I may or may not feel better when my little is involved in fixing things because he is a natural born fixer. It's nice to have a disposal again and that I lost that "fight". I mostly wanted it to be cheap.

I may or may not have gone to a thrift shop to find wool sweaters cause it's been frigid and prices of new wool/warm sweaters are insane. I brought home 12 to try on. I kept three with a price tag of $14.

I may or may not have greeted the new year with  waking up to a massive bloody nose from my little from the dry air. My pillow and couch did not fair well. Thankfully, they both have two sides.

I may or may not have just realized that facebook was not putting my mother's status updates in my newsfeed. My own mother! An apology phone call ensued to say that I wasn't ignoring her. She took it well and came out unscathed by the affair. Gah facebook. It leaves me wondering who else I am unintentionally slighting.

Lately my hands have started tingling while handling my iphone. It's not carpal tunnel. It seems I may or may not be receiving an electrical charge from my phone and yet I keep using it. Of course it's past the warranty period. So addicted that I'm willing to undergo minor electrical shot torture.
