May or May Not Monday

or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may have awoken at 6:45 am with my heart racing from an unpleasant dream about my husband and I being held hostage and shot at and hunted down at our first apartment we lived in more than a decade ago. I can't seem to place why. I watched The Great British Baking Show and Hallmark yesterday. Happy Monday to me. And since I'm never up this early I figured I would knock this out.

I may or may have been seriously excited at the sight of snow yesterday. I'm very much for snow in winter  to keep it pretty and to stave off my notions that I should be gardening flowers. These months are so tough when stores start carrying Spring and many parts of the country are showing signs of Spring. So long as there is pretty snow on the ground my mind is saved. It must be the pretty factor. Mud season just isn't pretty.

I may or may not have continuously worn the same green wool skirt for almost the entire month of February due to my pants not fitting. I kept getting bigger and bigger for no good reason. And skin stretching uncomfortable. So then I realized that my problems started when I started eating eggs daily. I introduced them slowly and then let it loose. I've been off eggs for five days and I'm pretty much back to normal. Gosh I'm going to miss you Eggs.

My little may or may not have declared it Summer outside at 40* and sunshine. It's been an impressive winter.

I may or may not have been told by my sweet as sugar little that my hair looked amazing. It was wet and pulled back slick in a ballerina bun. He started to pet it and I informed him that he would disturb and wake the beast if he kept at it. Curly hair problem #123456789876643321

I may or may not have tried my best to only use the half bathroom toilet all winter. It's the only one that has a heater vent and doesn't feel like ice.  We keep our therm that's upstairs at 62 maybe 64 if we can't stand it and run our fireplace in the living room where we spend our time. Though after my husband's quick trip to Memphis last week he came back with thinned blood and has been cold and is only now started taking the cold seriously.

I may or may not have seen really cool bracelets on Instagram that even my husband said he would wear for free just pay shipping. We picked out four for our family to be branded and proceeded to pump in all our info to find out that the free plus shipping would be $52. It would be shipping from across the ocean. No family branding going on here.

I may or may not have introduced my littles to Craft Warehouse. It's not the first time we've been but the first time in a few years. It's wayyyyy across town and I'm not that crafty. It's something to do with a picture of perfection and not an unlimited bank account to implement the perfection. Anyway, we walked away with a handful of things that made us happy. There was much more that was wanted but restricted by our $400 a week for food, gas, home supplies, homeschool, and anything extra and zero going into savings these days. I heard the kids talking and counting down til the next visit. Not this coming Sunday- it's not so bad a drive from our church- but the next one we will have money again!

I may or may not have been surprised to find my littles, who aren't so little to be given a pass, painting projects with acrylic paint on my Berber carpet with nothing underneath their projects. Blue and green paint now adorn my not quite five years old carpet.
