May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have gotten another book to proofread this week and only pulled two half nighters to 3am to get it done. The program may or may not have tried to spell check it in French no matter how many times I changed it to English; crash when I tried to delete a blank page; and refuse to save changes. It was a slight nightmare. Balancing housework, homeschool, keeping the family fed, nursing a sick kid or two, and sleeping was tough. I'm not sure it was balanced, but it wasn't horribly out of whack. Though I'd love to not sacrifice sleep in the future.
I may or may not have required my dear husband to knock on the down the street neighbors' door to inquire about the five stacked planter barrels on the curb. My little said he was going to do it, but my dear husband said he couldn't because it was embarrassing. Informing my husband that his embarrassment was crushing his little and that he needed to be the hero, they did indeed knock on the door. My little is now the proud owner of the five barrel that weigh 75lbs each. They were free. In need of staining, but free. Huzzah!!
My husband may or may not have developed a contact allergy to his glasses. The glasses he's worn for 8 years that have a slightly cracked lens. The glasses that were held together by a paper clip. Yup, the nickel frames are killing his skin. Why after 8 years did this happen? Stress. His job of saving what most would consider unsavable kids is breaking him. We need a new job. If you know of leads, let me know.
I may or may not have just considered my broken toe healed when I slammed it into an encyclopedia pushing the volume into the wall. Of course it was volume A the thickest book in the set.
I may or may not have picked up a book to read at the library while my littles were in a program knowing that it would make me cry. No less than five words into the book the tears started flowing. All the Galant Men so far worth the read and tears. Of course it was a day I actually wore mascara.
I may or may not have picked out four books to read this week. Totally makes sense since I proofread a 436 page book. For months I've barely been interested in books and this week I pick out four. When am I actually going to have time for them? I'm probably not.
I am proud to report that I'm still pass out/syncope free for ten days, even with less than stellar sleep and a heavy load on my plate. I still may or may not understand how it works - but it does! Whoo!!
I love it! Great read on the blog. Everything is an adventure with you guys and I love it! I'm so happy about the syncope! Someday soon maybe you will proofread my book?????
