May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have decided that I would like to see stocks come back as a way to instill humiliation for crimes. Not used as in olden times but with bathroom breaks and no food thrown and the ability to go home at night. But from 8-6 be in the stocks with a sign with your crime. I've decided this after hearing 40 minutes ago after a 5 on 1 fight involving freshmen was reported of being broken up at the elementary school.  I have no information on it other than this and I'm raging mad that something like this could happen in our little community.

I may or may not have decided to get the curtain rod that fell out of the wall in the littles' room back up now that the sun is gracing our presence early and late. We bought a new double rod to hang blackout curtains behind the normal curtains. The littles insisted that they would sleep longer because it was the sun waking them up. Saturday we purchased the rods and went about our day outside playing in the sun. In the evening my darling husband realized our optimism with getting the smaller and cheaper option failed to cover the expanse of the window. So we all carted back across town at 7pm to get the larger size. We needed to finish listening to Story of the World volume 3 anyway and the car ride would get us an hour further into the cd. The littles bedtime is 8pm. We started the project at 8:10 and let the littles watch the new season of Veggie Tales on Netflix. Happily we all went about the next hour. We snuggled everyone in bed with the curtains all hung and closed, excited that we might get some extra sleep. I even worried that we might oversleep church. Silly me, bright and early we were greeted that the curtains didn't work. Turns out we had forgotten to lower the blinds and close them.  Sunday night we made sure everything was as it should be with the curtains. Bright and early I was greeted but their room was dark. They hoodwinked us with the whole sleep thing. Or maybe I will believe just about anything for more sleep.

I may or may not have picked up another first aid kit for my car today after needing to bandage up a little who forgot to ask if the tree wanted to be climbed. The tree decided to return the lapse in tree climbing manners by refusing to be climbed and sending my little sliding down and taking my littles' abdominal skin for a souvenir. Holy moly, it was brutal. I was very glad to have the help of another momma to help clean him up. He is one tough little dude. He handled the whole thing with patience and calmness.

I may or may not have a serious addiction to flowers - not cut ones cause they just bring sadness when they die. We've been to four nurseries in the last week. We don't always buy something but I just love being in flower heaven to delight in all the different manifestations of beauty. My littles are becoming flower identifying masters. I also have to remind the three of us that it's either flowers or food. That solves it pretty quick. Flowers!!! Nah, we pick food. 😉

I may or may not have inadvertently been consuming way too much salt. I've been on a high salt diet for years but with Celtic Sea salt not normal table salt. I love canned peas. As in eat a can a day. I never bothered to look at the salt content, it's 13% per serving. There's 3.5 in a can. That's 45.5% of daily recommendation. Not to mention that I Celtic Sea Salt my chicken and potatoes without caution. So no more peas for me for awhile. I think it might have something to do with my pants not fitting...
