May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not live in a community that allows yard sales only at the annual community yard sale. It's rather exciting to go around and see friends and lots of treasures. It's also helpful to know which families have girls and boys and ages for scoring gear. On the way home from the pool, I saw a family with a boy who's bigger than my boys having a sale. I left the boys in the car and went in my bathing suit coverup to see if anything was out that would work for us. Good thing I put aside my embarrassment of being in a bathing suit because between me and another lady we cleaned out the boy clothes in a matter of minutes. I got 15 Hannah Andersen, Mini Boden, and Lands End (all barely used) for $20. I also scored a huge coffee table for $10. At another sale, I got a pair of never been worn Hannah Andersen pjs for $.50, a pair of boys REI pants for $.50. Oh my I'm grateful for my treasures, but wow to be in a position to think nothing giving these things away for a song!
I may or may not have been looking for my kiwi I cut up a few days after the initial use. I wasn't in the fridge. I texted my darling husband to see if he ate it or threw it away, nope. A few more days passed and lo and behold my darling husband pulls out Tupperware from the drawer and finds my now moldy kiwi in the container.
I may or may not have a tip to pass along. Rubbing alcohol gets permanent marker off hardware floors. You are welcome.
I may or may not have been unable to open our sliding glass door for a year now. Nobody could open it because the track was bent. The window repair guy was able to fix it for a reasonable price along with some other windows. He called and said he would be at our house in an hour. I got the text from my husband with twenty minutes to spare - we were at our home away from home, the library. Uhhh okay, time to cancel plans and shove everything in closets. All is fixed and we still forget we can use it now. Opening it feels like magic.
Twice this week I've heard songs from high school on the classic rock station. I may or may not think that seems quite weird. Ahhh the mid to late 90s are now classics? I guess so.
The weather has decided to revoke Summer's privilege of existing this year. I may or may not have been in a sweater for two days and winter coats outside. Please come back, we like swimming.
