May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have woken up yesterday remembering my Monday musings but had no time to whip them out and gone through my entire day without remembering this blog at all. So I bring it to you on Tuesday instead of next week when I just might forget this week and have less to share. So you're welcome.
I may or may not be thankful I have a friend I can message when there are three possibly four police cars, a fire truck, and ambulance a few doors down my street after 10pm when my husband is out of town to make sure the call was not that a killer is on the loose and I can not worry about the full moon craziness out my usually quiet door and rest easy.
I may or may not have found out an update on the mountain lion roaming our community this very morning! See if I'd done this yesterday, you'd have to wait to find out that it was caught on video and quite possibly the most giant raccoon in the world. A raccoon so large it's been thought a mountain lion. Truly thankful to have the world's largest raccoon on our hands and not a lion. If it wasn't so smokey out I would lift the ban of kids flying solo outside. And there goes my threat of you better straighten up your behavior or I'm sending you out to the lion.
I may or may not be thankful for the smoke because it has cooled our temps down ten degrees. Always trying to look at the positive, here. Especially since I opened my electric bill and found we used 154 something or others to last month's 53 something or others because it's been so stinking hot we've not been able to keep the house a comfortable 79 at night.
I may or may not have slept on the couch for 12 days in a row trying to keep my darling husband germ free. It's worked so far but my posture is suffering from the softness of the cushions.
I may or may not have called the winner of The Great British Baking Show by only watching the two minutes before the winner was announced. I've not watched any of the season or read any spoilers. I have a theory of how American reality show finales work and I put it to test the British. Same game for the Brits too and thus my educated guess worked! Curious about my system? I'll tell you if you ask, I just don't want to spoil if someone missed it this Saturday on PBS.
I may or may not be struggling to find more great stories for story time. I've exhausted my lists and the libraries and B & N don't have new releases. I checked my library card and we've checked out 1000 books since last July. With that number you'd think I wouldn't expect to have unlimited awesome picture books at my hands. Please share your favorite children stories and authors! Do you think reading just this many children books from the library, not including all the others, makes me an expert on kid lit yet? I would love to add that to my resume.
