May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have... I

I may or may not have had to rewrite my Christmas card address list because of too many addresses being crossed off due to death. That's how I spent my afternoon and evening, revamping my address list. My hand is tired.

I may or may not have given my darling husband food poisoning. Of course unintentionally and I didn't do it. A scheduled power outage did it. It sent my fridge from 37 to 46 in 3 1/2 hours. That seems excessive right? We lost quite a lot of food to that power outage.

I may or may not have been pleased about the food poisoning only because it made my darling husband actually rest from his extremely stressful job. People have literally bolted from being so uncomfortable when specific job details are shared instead of just a general cleaned up description is given.

I may or may not have actually read four books of my own choosing! This is huge and now I can't figure out if I neglected my family or sleep to get that done. Maybe both?

I may or may not have burned the cranberry orange loaf I made for Thanksgiving. The inside tasted great my littles told me and they demanded another. I had every intention of trying again but my fatigue of cooking and packing for traveling to the most amazing cabin filled with the most amazing people got the better of me. I did not get another one made. My little made sure I understood how disappointing I was for failing.

I may or may not have managed to keep my room free of folded laundry piles for two weeks in a row! It's currently piled on my couch from today's laundry round.

I may or may not have been praised by my darling husband for always over packing when our trip in the mountains was extended so generously by a day. Everyone had enough clean underwear to make it home!

I may or may not have discovered that my subi doesn't handle mud and an extraordinary amount of deep multitudinous pot holes. We're talking sliding at 15 mph and tires going all the way in the holes for 5ish miles. It was all worth it though for the heavenly thermal hot springs we were treated to! My little may or may not have left his glasses on the table - it was dark when we left - and it wasn't discovered until Turkey Day. Thankfully, they are open in all holidays - praise the Lord! and my two heroes drove back and retrieved the glasses.

Between the weekend, sickness, and Thanksgiving we had nine days together as a family and it was glorious! We've never had that kind of time together. It was a good week.
