May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have gained a third working toilet after about six months. I now have to retrain my brain to use the new toilet. It’s very nice to have a never used toilet. But what is with all the extras needed for appliances etc? So the price is never the list price. My darling husband can now add to his resume, toilet installer. He is also adding vanity installer. My littles make a ridiculous mess every time they wash their hands using the pedestal sink. We finally found a vanity in our price range that ticked all the boxes.
I may or may not be cleaning out my house for the annual neighborhood yard sale in June. I’m hoping people snatch my stuff up. In the meantime, finding storage from cleaning out is proving tricky. I’m sure everyone prepares for a yard sale four months in advance.
I may or may not be considering crocheting scarfs to sell at the yard sale. I even have a brand name. But my darling husband says people will not be interested in buying scarves in June. What day you?
I may or may not have dreams of having our pictures taken by a real photographer not a tripod at a lavender farm but zero funds to get that done.
I may or may not be mostly recovered from my pull neck muscle. I didn’t get much sleep last week with littles revolving against sleep and a darling husband who left me a single parent for half a week yet again. Followed by a little with a cough who shared it with my other little and me so generously. It’s been a long week and thankfully January has finally moved on; it seemed unending.
Our weather may or may not have decided to be spring. Spring isn’t warm here but it’s not frigid. Coats are still required because of the wind that doesn’t end until it’s summer when you desperately long for a breeze to break the stifling heat. My tulips and daffodils and hyacinths are popping up which has everyone worried that when the cold comes back it will damage the plants. They usually don’t bloom until April. We shall see. I’m hoping we just have a gradual warm up to make up for a year of very cold weather.
My library book club (I’m in two clubs) book choice was hijacked by the February library reading program. All library book clubs in our valley read the same book, the author comes to speak, and articles about the book is made available. The book choice needed to come with a warning of content being graphic. Graphic doesn’t quite convey the content. I may or may not be upset with being exposed to such vileness just because the powers that be declared this book a must read. I didn’t finish the book. I couldn’t.
I may or may not be amused that it took both my littles until the age of eight to decide to ride bicycles. Bikes have been ridden for days now and bruises are covering shins, the badge of bikes.
I may or may not be praying for something large to come into my life. I would love to write children’s books. If you’ve followed my Instagram account, you understand how many kids books we devour. I think that I have stories to add to the kid lit world. If you are interested, join me in praying for an opportunity to open up for me to share my passion.
