May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have purchased and applied a product to repel the voles (field mice) and found them still munching on my grass and bulbs the very next day. And the day after that. And the day after that. I feel like I should get my money back. I miss CJ the cat.
I may or may not be trying to convince my darling husband that it’s cheaper to buy a $2 timer on our next trip to Walmart than search for and buy new batteries just because we have a Prime trial. I’m losing.
I may or may not have planted ranunculus and anemones on Saturday afternoon in my planting barrels. So that called for the predicted snow dusting to be 4” instead. My flowers are fine. The snow melted after an hour of stopping when the sun came out and we were too slow to get and sled in it.
I may or may not be convinced that I will never get good sleep again. It’s been weeks without a decent nights sleep due to my littles. It was one thing when it was from the worst allergic rash I’ve ever seen but now it’s night terrors and nightmares. One child remembers and the other doesn’t. I think that rash took its toll on all of us.
I may or may not have been watching a heck of a lot of Escape to the Country to deal with my exhaustion and since the weather has been rather harsh. March has only been a lion. A very grumpy lion. My take away from the show is detached houses are considered a luxury and crazy expensive. And that the whole of England looks pretty much the same even though each area seems to think it’s the best.
I may or may not have been enjoying working at the community organic garden weekly for the community it offers and a purpose for gathering together. Today we dug rocks out of a field to line the beds of the children’s garden. I can only get through such tedious work because it’s for the community. There’s no way I would do it on my own. I’d go buy rocks at the store. In fact I drove the family to Home Depot afterward to see if the still had the clearance bags of big rocks. They didn’t.
I may or may not be having a hard time adjusting to chopping six inches off my hair. It takes more work and I think it needs a bigger barrel curling iron that I don’t own. I’m not much for high maintenance hairstyles so I’m a bit bummed that it’s not wash and go.
I may or may not have promised my darling husband that our flower garden will be quite a bit cheaper this year because most everything survived the winter. So no major overhauls. Just pot gardening this year. I really, really hope I’m telling the truth! I’m a crazy flower girl.
