May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have had very little sleep this week due to the worst allergic reaction rash I have ever seen. It turns out my little isn’t sensitive to the hotel’s laundry detergent. He had the horrible luck to get swimmers itch from the swimming pool. Nothing we did could stop the itch. We tried everything. Everything. My little asked if he had a bad case of the measles. No my dear. You have no fever, weepy eyes, or any pus, or breathing issues. But your rash sure looks like it. After five days of pretty close to no sleep, I think the rash is a day or two out from going away completely. We did have three friends come to our aid and rescue and that was amazing and beautiful! We also now have a no hotel swimming pool or hot tub policy. This was insane. He couldn’t sit for days or sleep.

I may or may not have had to buy a new tv this week. Beware of Samsung and its firmware they install. We had a black screen and just audio. The complaints on their website of this exact problem is 14 pages long. This has been occurring - on purpose - for two years. It’s more expensive to fix the tv than buy a new one. The company is breaking TVs so people buy new ones. So caveat emptor. We are waiting for a class action lawsuit to be filed.

I may or may not have been informed by my little that he doesn’t need more toys or legos. I was really liking where this conversation was going. He added, you have to buy all the plants I want and I want a lot.

I may or may not have an invasion of voles (field mice for those not located in the West) because our neighbors moved and off went the greatest mouser and because we take care of our grass with a special lawn program that feeds it all year. Apparently voles eat grass and tree roots. So my first thought was we need to get a mouser. But you cannot just get a cat and it be a mouser. Plus two of us are allergic. So the next line was to put out a mix along the grass to make it not tasty and keep them at bay with a garlic mix line of defense. That’s what we picked. A $20 bag seemed far more reasonable than buying and maintaining a cat that might be a failure at mousing.

I may or may not be getting a haircut for the first time since June of 2016 tomorrow. Whoo!
