May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have overheard a conversation about a new outdoor preschool program happening now and how affordable it is at $250 a month for a few hours a week for someone else to take your kid outside and encourage them to play with sticks. “We just moved last month from Seattle and I paid $700 a month. It’s such a great option for stay at home moms!” What is our society coming to when you are willing to shell out that kind of money for your three/four year old to be outside?

I may or may not have decided to watch the movie instead of reading the book for my book club tomorrow. I did not feel compelled to further strain my healing eye with the little print when there’s a movie available. It’s The Same Kind of Different As Me. It’s also the last meeting of the club . I’m super sad about that.

I may or may not have spent 24 hours on the couch sleeping and watching Heartland because my body crashed and rebelled against our busy two weeks. Lest you think my life is all roses, I have a weak heart that can’t keep up and then I have to be carried around because I cannot walk.

I may or may not have three different green paint colors on my half bath walls waiting to be picked for the next look. I’m taking feedback and it’s currently undecided.

I may or may not have just received a notification from the library that one of the books we returned is watered damaged to the extent that they can no longer circulate it. Please pay $22 and drive forty minutes to come pick it up. Shocked I asked my people if they knew about this damaged book. Yes, I assumed you knew about it Mom. I’m no. I would have tried to fix it with an iron first. This kid picks the most expensive books to lose and damage. I have not had any fines on my account for a year!

I may or may not have aged my kid up because we celebrated his birthday early with the Grands and apparently so has he. I may actually forgot his real day.

I may or may not have been wishing for fall to get here so the smoke will leave and completely forgot that it means allergies are accelerated again with the growing grass and trees and sagebrush. Cue the worry and miserable kid and husband. Boo.

I may or may not have gotten sunburned at the pool thinking we were not going to last long in the chilly water but oh we powered through for two hours. Fair skin says ouch. The pool closes next Sunday. Summer is headed out. Though it’s still too hot to bring out the pumpkins.
