May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have tried to convince my darling husband that we needed a cavapoo when two puppies became available in our town. Shocked and startled because I hate untrained dogs, he said who are you!? I was putting forth a pretty good performance and then showed him pictures of them online. They are really cute. One little was terrified. The other was like Finally!! Then I found out they cost $1,000 and I couldn’t keep up the charade. Look up pictures of cavapoos and see if you can resist their cuteness.
I may or may not have just smiled as my little announces to our host who apologized for the mess that our home is never this clean!
I may or may not have been getting ads for makeup for older women on Facebook for years. This week it’s been targeted specifically to us 50 year olds. Those 14 years must have flown by to get me there. I’ve always had an old soul. 50 is not old - we don’t say you’re old in this family until you’re in the dying ages and then it’s an accomplishment.
I may or may not have strung popcorn as an Advent activity and was told that if I strung it outside the birds would eat it. Seven weeks later I have all the intact popcorn strings still adorning my trees. What’s wrong with these birds?
I may or may not have gone to Gymboree’s outlet to score their going out of business sales, had five minutes and picked out two jammies sets for $10 each. Only to get to the register to find a lady with a giant stack of clothes complaining and getting snippy that these should all be 80% off. The sign says up to 80% off. Needless to say, I put the jammies back and walked out of the store. My darling husband decided to take me back the next day when we had no time constraint. The jammies were no longer $10 each but $17.50 each. Agh!!! We found some other very suitable deals though. If you’re people are tiny, there’s loads of stock. Above 7-8 is extremely slim pickings. So go get some quality clothes for a song!
Whole Foods has started delivering. It’s an hour round trip drive plus usually an hour in the store. We received three coupons for free delivery and it is such a wonder and time saver! This kind of service is game changing! We frequent Walmart, Fred Meyer, Natural Grocers, The Co-op, Albertsons, and Whole Foods for best prices on products. Food shopping has a large quantity of our time. So not having to make special trips to Whole Foods when we are not in the neighborhood is awesome. Gives back valuable family time.
