May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have had two pinterest recipe failures in one week. The first being crock pot apple cinnamon oatmeal. Not enough flavor. We will be sticking with the instant packets with the extra sugar. The second being the lie that you can make whipped cream from whole milk and butter if you don't have heavy whipping cream on hand. You can't. Or at least, I can't.

I may or may not have two rooms in my house and one window in my car with crayon drawings on the windows from my littlest. It started with the car a month ago and I just t hought, "Hey, he's quiet and I can clean it off." Then two weeks later came the playroom windows. Then, yesterday I found rocket ships taking off when I opened my living room curtains. And if you're wondering, I haven't cleaned any of the crayon drawings off.

I may or may not been wearing my hair curly a couple times a week since Thanksgiving. It may have started while having a conversation about curly hair and my husband's entire extended family had no idea I have curly hair. I may or may not have felt like a traitor to my hair kind. Have they seen me with curly hair since? Of course not. I wore it in a pony tail with a curling iron curl for Christmas.

I may or may not have spent an hour of my life polishing silver. I have never taken the opportunity to try this chore before. I can tell you I won't be jumping at the chance to do this tedious chore again. But I will have to soon. I may or may not have put my Great Great Grandmother's silver I inherited in the dish washer. It may not entirely be my fault, since I was told that I could do this. It tarnished like crazy after one wash. After doing research online, I found that you cannot wash silver with stainless steel. In this age, who doesn't have stainless steel silverware and pots and pans?

I may or may not have thought, "I finally conquered this after an hour and ten minutes and my back is killing me. Thank goodness I won't have to do this often."  And felt sadness for those poor people that had to do this for their job. I was showing my husband what they turned out like, opened the drawer a little farther than I had before and saw that I had an entire other container full of unpolished silver. *Sigh*

I may or may not be absolutely dreading the loss of freedom with Christmas break being over.  Waking up at 9 or 10 and having a very calm and stable family dynamic and having no reason to get out pjs all day, all lost when school takes over the schedule. My little fella likes school, so we're trying to put up with it with a happy heart.
