May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
We may or may not be the only family in America who doesn't watch football which dooms our littles to have zero knowledge of what the Super Bowl is. Yes, we do exist. Happily.
I may or may not have been advised by my mastermind littles that they were able to circumnavigate the tv all the way to watching The Magic School Bus on Netflix without the remote using the secret button on the back of the tv. A parental code may be in my tv's future.
I may or may not have gotten sick this week and subsequently passed it along to my husband who nicely shared it with the oldest little. Littlest little, you are doomed. I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out how I picked it up and infected my family. My job in this family is hyper alert germ exterminator.
I may or may not have been thrilled when my oldest little asked for a day off from school because he needed a break. Rejoiced at this day to spend in flannel jammies, a sick day that moms never get to call in, but this was as close as I could possibly get!!
I may or may not have taken my littles to their STEAM club at the library the next day - I was too sick to be in public. But with Daddy out of town, it's not fair for the healthy littles to miss out. So there we went with tissues in my pocket, glasses and baseball hat to try to hide my palor, feeling guilty for possibly spreading germs.
I may or may not have read about my personality this week and come away with more understanding and been a bit terrified about how it can play out in people. I'm INTJ. You can read all about us mastermind strategists online. People with my personality: Valdimir Putin and Moriarty from Sherlock. You can see why I was not happy to be associated with those gems. But when I came down the list to Gandalf the Grey, I breathed a sigh of relief.
I may or may not have started reading a book and told my husband about how unbelievable the main character was having too many things happen to them and that I was going to have to do research. Turns out it is all true and there are primary historical sources proving the verity of the character.
I may or may not have taken two trips to B&N to peruse their books and make a list for getting them at the library. 28 books are on their way from the county libraries to our neighborhood library hold shelf thanks to the loan sharing system. I may or may not have had to use all four of our accounts to get all these books. Two very successful trips to a very pricey store.
I may or may not have seen a trend in fiction stories with recipes built into the storyline about strengthening families and relationships. Here's my family strengthening recipe of the week:
It's buscuits. Simple. Gluten free.
1 1/2 cup of Pamela's Baking Flour
A bit of salt
1 TBS honey
2/3 cup of coconut milk
1/4 cup of veg shortening
375* for 12 minutes
