May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have taken the littles to the pool at noon thirty and thought we'd stay for an hour and I'd be okay in the sunshine. 2:15 rolls around and I finally convinced them it was time to go. My fair skin got fried. Big sky country is terrible for those with fair skin.

I may or may not have started a yard project in May that still isn't completed. I've been digging out holes and building three trellises. One is standing and the other two's holes are dug. But I can't seem to get them built and in the ground. Maybe before winter it will get done? I hope so.

I may or may not have followed the signs that said cinema and avoided waiting in traffic for closing a road  near the cinema and parked in what we thought was a great spot. We then started walking to get to the cinema we've never visited before and went the wrong way. A half a mile later we had almost circumnavigated the entire building to get to the entrance. We went right when we should have gone left. The littles were none to thrilled at the long walk or the pace since we were cutting it close to begin with or walking into our assigned seats in a pitch black moment. The movie was good though. Pete's Dragon if you're wondering.

I may or may not have fallen in love with Unalakleet, AK through an Instagram account but know I could never handle the darkness of winter. It makes the arctic tundra look romantic and the recipe for a perfect simple life.

I may or may not have forced my littles plus the grands to watch the perseids with me until 1:30am Thursday night. I thought it was worth it and great fun. It made for a tired Friday. Though the moon was a bit stubborn setting making the sky a wee bit too bright. I was also surprised by how many pickups ( it's Idaho's choice of vehicle) were zooming down a quiet country road at 1am on a Thursday night. They're obviously much cooler than I am to have late night plans during the week. Though if I'm honest I never have late night plans. But all in all I want my kids to look back and say, "I've done that!"

I may or may not have let my littles have a Clifford marathon this week. They will be saying goodbye to it since it's leaving Netflix. Too bad for them the Olympics did interrupt their binging a bit. I've been letting them stay up late to watch the Olympics. Thank goodness school hasn't started yet. We are in our groove for summer and not ready for it at all.
