May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not have just made soup I like to call Everything We Have Left Dumped in the Pot.  I got lucky and it turned out well. My measure of success is not my tasting it, cause I can't taste it from my plethora of food allergies, but complaints from the littles department. I have this thing called avoidance of stores after Thanksgiving. Pair that with icy snow conditions in a city that refuses to acknowledge the need for plows or spend the money for snow and ice removal, and my pantry gets very low.

I may or may not have had my left eye twitching since Thanksgiving. Too much online shopping and pair that with reading a book = annoying eye twitch when I'm concentrating. Annoying. Magnesium, warm compresses, and resting my eyes has not solved it yet. Last year this annoyance lasted for months.

I may or may not have made the rookie mistake of asking a little to hold my phone while I readjusted gloves for three littles. I couldn't get it back in my pocket quick enough and was assured of capability. Ten seconds later it was in the snow. My entire picture world for the last two years is on my phone. My husband threw a fit about the price to print them out and I'm not about to pay for cloud storage. My phone spent 24 hours in a bag of rice and is no worse for wear. We are paying the money to get them printed now cause memories.

I may or may not have a dishwasher that isn't draining properly due to my garbage disposal not working. At least that's what my husband has decided; that the drain catchers for two bucks aren't doing their job and stuff is getting clogged. I think it's the original clog. We were given advice at our wedding that the wife is always always right and the husband is always always right. We will see how that plays out here.

I may or may not have not had access to my phone for 24 whole hours and nobody missed me. I'm not sure how I feel about that - liberated or offended.

I may or may not have cut my own hair last night. How? I bring it all forward in front of my face holding the ends together and snip off the ends. I meant to trim an inch off bad ends off. I should have cut below my fingers. I cut above my fingers and away went two inches. No biggie to y'all with straight hair that likes to grow fast. My curls grow slow as molasses. So it will probably take me a year to get that two inches of wet length back. Ce la vie. My hair cut was done in seconds and for a price that can't be beat.

I may or may not have just gotten around to putting up things I received from my Grams' house in August.  It has something to do with actually being home, not running errands. Thanks holiday shoppers. My littles call it renovating. Moving furniture around and hanging stuff on the walls. It's how it's done on tv right. So for now I love that they love renovating as a family.

I may or may not be stoked that the library upped their holds to 10 books per card. I know have the power to hold 12 more books the a week ago. And yet I've not exercised that power even though last week I asked if there was a policy for a patron to buy another library card just to use the book holds. I'm a conundrum if there ever was one.
