May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have... I
I may or may not have a base heat war going on with my darling husband who desires the house to be set at 63 upstairs. That's where the thermostat is located. I think 65 is reasonable with the fireplace running downstairs. I'm of the opinion to dress for the season - be hot in summer, be cold in winter. And 65 is cold enough for winter. It's just brutal getting up in the morning if I didn't win the heater war at night. My darling husband doesn't even know there's a war going. And with him gone for work half this week, I shall remain comfortable until I try to sleep without his warmth.
I may or may not have been asking my littles to clean up the playroom for the last month and given them plenty of opportunity to do it. It wasn't done and finally with the terrible weather yesterday I tackled it. It took my darling husband and me eight and a half hours to do it. We finished at 12:30 AM. Put that ridiculous extra hour to use.
I may or may not be implementing the second year of ignoring Standard Time. Though this year my littles will probably catch on sooner than the two months it took last year. Plus, they know my game.
I may or may not be a little over my head being in two book clubs a month. Getting in my own reading is proving hectic and forced. I'm sure I will adjust or just give up reading for pleasure.
My darling husband may or may not have spent his Saturday night taking apart the kitchen sink pipes to unclog the sink to run the dishwasher. After a half hour, a skinny, yellow paint brush was found lodged around a curve in the pipe. I made sure to remind him that these are the things we will miss with a quiet empty house.
The bottom drawer freezer on our fridge started to have freezer burn. I may or may not be at a loss to why. All the reasons listed on the company help page aren't happening.
We finished the third Harry Potter which means movie time. I may or may not have not have been the only person in my family that was very disappointed with the streamlined story line to just the action adventure. I may have swooned a bit when my ten year old was incensed that character development was not developed. I'm doing my job raising a critic.
I may or may not have put a no toys for Christmas rule in place after realizing we have not been keeping up with storage for the inane amount of Legos in our possession. I really mean it.
I may or may not have volunteered my darling husband to cut the grass at the historical farm we help attend to the garden beds. It should have taken twenty minutes. In the snow mix pouring, it took him three hours because of the amount of leaves on the ground. They aren't even done falling yet. I see another weekend dedicated to that place so that spring is just for beauty and not toil.
