May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So I may or may not have ... own up.
I may or may not have purchased paper whites thinking they would bring cheer and spring into our cold house. They brought beauty and a smell that had me searching for pee that needed to be cleaned up every morning when I woke up and at every whiff that caught me off guard and forgot they smell foul.
I may or may not be on a search for my littles’ glasses. We are searching everywhere because we are hoping that they were not left at the cabin in the mountains two plus hours away. The glasses have new lenses being made since the prescription grew stronger and I really hope we have frames to put the new lenses in. The drive isn’t too big a deal if they are at the cabin, it’s cheaper than new frames!
I may or may not have finally figured out a second crotchet stitch, a half double. I thought it would save me loads of time but it doesn’t. But it does feel good to know more than a single crotchet stitch.
I may or may not have returned two games, Prime Climb and National Parks Monopoly, to the library, searched for more books and once the games were reshelved checked them right out again. Huzzah fun games for another month for FREE!
I may or may not have been taking a walk with a dear friend on her property and leaned forward a bit to check for where a little was and ended up finding goose poop and slipping so fast that I didn’t realize I was falling until I was on the ground accessing the pain from impact. So fast that my dear friend was confused and looking around for me before she realized I was on the ground flat. It hurt but what was worse was the goose poop all down my leg and backside and coat. Snow was able to clean my coat and my dear friend didn’t hesitate to help me clean the poop off my back. That’s a true friend, the ones who will clean poop off you.
I may or may not have picked out modern knobs for our master chest of drawers and love them. They are masculine and my darling husband thinks this is a mistake. Or rather not worth the $30 change.
I may or may not have gotten a free planter chair that I immediately decided needed to have my touch. The green chair needs to be sugar plum purple. So paint has been purchased and now waits for my day to be free enough to turn on the portable heater and sit in the garage and transform the chair with latex paint I’m allergic to. One can see why I’m not jumping at the bit to get this project going.
I may or may not have finally gotten my phone wiped and thankfully had one last backup in May. So not all was lost, but a bit.
I may or may not feel a bit fancy after placing an order with a bakery for a cake for book club this week. It doesn’t cost more than making it myself and I don’t have to bake it. My darling husband is picking it up on his way home from his new job. His new job that doesn’t involve crazy travel! Whoo!!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👊👊
