May or May Not Monday

May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...

I may or may not be chancing a rash every time we travel and stay in a hotel. The scented detergents are the culprit. Only this time it wasn’t me, it was my little. He has a rash on his face and torso.  Thankfully it’s not too itchy. He just looks flushed. We are delicate people.

I may or may not have lost a long time friendship this week and fortuitously been granted two new relationships in the wake of loss. I’m grateful for the blessing and newness brought to our lives.

I may or may not have been incredibly frustrated with my navigator and Siri while we were looking for the outdoor ice rink. We were in the mountains and Siri couldn’t quite find our position. She kept telling us we were there and to turn when there was nothing there. I finally pulled into a parking lot and said I was not going to drive around blindly - well I forcefully said it - so call the place and figure out how to get there from a local. We didn’t have cross street info - the street signs are sparsely placed. Turns out we were in the parking lot on the backside of the building all along. I need to start getting paper maps immediately at the hotels to save myself from anger and frustration from technology difficulties.

I may or may not be a person who has set life up for dwelling and not being busy. My calendar this week is full of obligations. Starting my week off knowing there’s very little room for just being in the moment makes me growly.

I may or may not have come across an organization for children’s book publishing and to get the ends and outs of the trade you have to pay $95 to join for one year. Before I shell that out, do you have resources to help get started towards being published?

I may or may not be repeatedly calling the hotel over a lost blanket. The blanket I made when I five months pregnant with my first child. If they find it, we will either need to have it mailed or drive six hours round trip in a day because we don’t have funds for another hotel stay this month. Right now my darling husband wants to drive, so we can visit again.

I may or may not have superglued an iron on knee patch because the glue didn’t last longer than two washes. Hope that lasts through pants season.

Welcome back all of you to Daylight Savings! It’s been a great four ish months staying on this time schedule so our sleep schedule didn’t get screwed with. My neighbor laughed hard when I told her and said you really don’t let anybody tell you what to do. You made your own time zone! Yes, I did and I’ll keep doing it until this nonsense of Standard Time ends.
