May or May-Not Monday: Where you can divulge the secrets of life's mishaps without feeling like a failure. So go on... own up. I may have...
I may or may not have been able to drive or grip or extend my arm without pain for eleven days. Are technicians aware of the injury they cause when they miss the angle and poke through the vein? I mean I can’t cook without help, exercise, lift, grip, blow dry my hair, zip up my coat... It’s really rather instrusive on my functionality in life.
I may or may not have been mulling over a recent conversation. Essentially we were trying to figure out compatibility with a family to see if it’s worth the effort to build the relationship. We were asked if we were gamers. Board gamers yes. Video gamers we are not. We passed their test but it got me thinking. The assumption that it wasn’t going to work if we were gamers is absolutely true and I realized it was also on my checklist but not a voiced one. The thing is that a lot of gamers have lost the art of playing and the entertainment value isn’t enough for them in real play because they have to work hard for it. It isn’t fun for them and thus just complain so the relationship can’t be built.
I may or may not have decided to make a weekly dessert for Advent. The first week was a strawberry cheesecake that we celebrated my littles’ birthday with the Grands, second a gingerbread cake with an orange cream cheese topping and pumpkin ice cream, and this week is a chocolate ganache gingerbread cake with chocolate icing that is allergy free so I can eat it! Not sure what next week will bring. What are your favorite Christmas treats?
I may or may not have purchased a buffalo plaid lined button up shirt that my little has been living in for five weeks and thinking I should go get the next size up since it cost $12. What’s stopping me? It’s at Costco. A 45 minute trip away and crazy crowds regardless of the time. Is anyone else stymied by distance and crowds?
I may or may have both my littles with about the same hair cut and color and height and of late have not been able to tell them apart through peripheral vision or them darting by. It’s unnerving and I’m feeling one of them needs a hair change in order to keep my savoy.
